Maintenance Services Infformation

Deep Cleaning: After years of service, natural and engineered stones will generally darken from absorbed oils and dirt. Deep cleaning will restore your stone to its original beauty and is definitely recommended before sealing.

Sealing: Use a squeegee to wipe down entire shower. Next, spray disinfecting shower cleaner onto walls (one wall at a time) and wipe dry with a towel. Repeat the process for all walls and the floor.

Stain Removal: Both natural and engineered stones are porous. The fact that they’re porous may allow stains to set in, especially if the spill is not quickly wiped up. With the proper product and knowledge, a stain can easily be removed. To draw out the stain, we will use special poultices specific to the stain’s make-up.

Chip, Scratch, and Crack Repair: Natural and engineered stone may chip if hit hard on the edge with a blunt object. Although rare, even a heavy platter that catches the edge may cause the chip. Integrity Marble & Granite can expertly remove these, and other surface blemishes.

Re-Caulking:Over time, the caulk between your countertop and backsplash may deteriorate and pull-away. We have specific stone caulk that we use to reseal these areas.

Seam Touch-up: Seams are a normal component of natural and engineered stone. Perhaps you have a seam that has broken. It’s not a problem for Integrity Marble & Granite! Let our experts repair the seam for you.

Re-seal Sink: Just like the caulk between your countertop and backsplash, the caulk between your sink and countertop may deteriorate, allowing water to leak down the side of the bowl. Again, this is something we can fix!

Re-set Sink: Your heavy under mount sink may have begun to pull-away from the countertop; although more serious than the caulking deterioration, it is no more difficult to repair.

Sealing your Stone:Natural stone has been formed over millions of years, but improper care can ruin nature’s beauty. Although we usually think of natural and engineered stones as “hard”, they are semi-porous materials that can absorb spills and stains if left untreated. Sealing your stone with a quality impregnating sealer will help prevent spills from damaging your investment. There is a wide variety of sealers available, so you need to select one for your specific needs and type of natural stone. Impregnating sealers, with new, advanced chemical technology, penetrate the stone and help protect it against water and oil-based stains. We have a full-line of sealers that are quick and easy to use – or we can seal your tops for you as well.

Granite and Engineered Stone: Do not use general purpose cleaners on your granite or you may damage your stone or the sealant. We have a full-line of cleaners, some with antimicrobial protection that we recommend for cleaning granite. These cleaners are developed specifically for natural stone and tile care. Their unique blends of neutral cleaning agents are gentle to your stone.

Marble, Limestone and Travertine: Many common foods and drinks contain acids that may etch or dull the stone surface. Also, some toiletries (e.g. perfume, toothpaste, and mouthwash) may damage the stone surface or degrade the sealer. Do not use general purpose or soft scrub cleansers. Integrity Marble & Granite and other industry professionals, recommend a pH balanced cleaner. Additionally, a cleaner that also contains a sealer will help to extend the life of your stone.
